I know a (public) secret

Change is coming - more condos. But most likely in the last place one would expect it.

Very last.

More to say on this later.

Is this the Cotton Mill/Gary's project at 6th and Marshall?

Now that one is not secret (considering the article), and a bit obvious.

No, this one is much more unexpected than that.

The last place I would expect is the Victory Stadium site or on top of Mill Mountain...

condos @ victory stadium = city version of willow creek in salem. $50 a month in the rainy season!

Maybe the old Rockledge Inn site, or perhaps the City Market building. Maybe the city will use the mystery millions in the news last week to purchase the old scrap yard, then clean it up and sell it to Carilion at a huge loss. Then Carilion can turn around and sell it to Ed Walker for an even bigger profit, and the city can pay him to build condos. That would make perfect sense.

Boy you folks love your conspiracies.

I'm talking real world here..
I'm sure you'll hear about it soon enough, but for now - let's just say that I am not suprised it has not hit the paper yet.

Nothing ever gets reported around here unless it is a crime or complaint.

the city buying the mill & the scrap yard for $8 plus million dollars, paying to demolish & do the environmental cleanup, then sell it to carilion for the land value only is a huge problem...
why isn't there more brought up about that?
