Earworm indeed! And I just infected my coworkers as well. Spread the love.

Great rant today. The city I grew up in is a little bigger than Roanoke and shares that us-too-itis that seems so common among small- to midsize cities. Obsessing about the skyline, the "inner city" (code for where the brown people live), and small increases in crime (without properly analyzing the data). But, like your old hood, if us kids screwed up you could bet someone's mom was gonna tell our mom! Kept us on the straight and narrow, to say the least. No city-funded plan could do that.

Looking forward to your big update--we're checking out apartments in that neighborhood.

I welcome you to Roanoke, where we are larger than we realize, and smaller than we think we are.

There are some interesting apartments in Gaisboro, but if your interested in buying a house - things get even more interesting.

Thanks, opinions and advice are much appreciated. We'll make sure to bring some extra puppies. Sounds like we'll need 'em.
